Diana “D” Irizarry is a nationally decorated Olympic weightlifting athlete and coach with nearly a decade of experience on the competition platform and in the gym.
She has been competing since 2016 and is a 3-time National Champion, 2025 Senior World Team member, Youth, Junior, and Senior National Team member, and is currently training for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. D holds her USA Weightlifting Level 1 certification and brings elite-level experience directly into her coaching.
D was introduced to weightlifting by her mom and began coaching under her first weightlifting coach, who became a long-term mentor. That foundation sparked a deep love for teaching the Olympic lifts, and it’s now her mission to make weightlifting accessible, technically sound, and confidence-building for athletes at every level.
She has coached athletes of all ages and backgrounds, but especially thrives working with youth and junior lifters who are eager to learn, refine technique, and fully invest in mastering their craft.
Outside of competitive athletes, D also loves helping general population clients move better in daily life and guiding college students as they balance academics with structured training.
Her coaching style blends patience, precision, and genuine care for long-term development—because doing things right matters.
Personality-wise, D is an INFP, competitive to the core (Type 3), and brings the same intensity to the platform as she does to the playlist. Expect training sessions fueled by “Tyler” by Toadies, “Pepper” by Butthole Surfers, and “Wolf Like Me” by Local H, because good lifting deserves good music.
